Door lock with latch bolt and shackle

 

Pilsen, Bohemia, ca. 1700

 

Forged and wrought malleable iron. The case features tracery and a rounded terminal, and it is decorated with hammered plates of acanthus leaves and scrolls. The handle is curled into a helix. Both ends of the square bar shackle are incised and curled into helices. Decorated with grooves and bulbs.
